Maybe I need some rehab or maybe just need some sleeeeeeep.

Wut, hello.

March is over, which was a goooood month. Been together with Josh for a month (it’s a start!), and incidentally we had our first proper “lunch date” (ie. not in the college canteen, his house or MCDONALDS as he loves to take me so much) which I find hilarious as it took us a month for us to actually go to town together. He meets the parents on Sunday, I hope it all goes down well…

Jenny turned eighteen so had an “alcoholic social gathering in her empty house” and in typical Jenny style there were tea rounds and fresh fruit :’) I’ve learnt never to take Apple Sourz to a party, gone within less than hour. Although 1/2 Sourz and 1/2 Bulmers is amazing, 1/2 Sourz and 1/2 Black Rat tasted of bacon mould, or something equally hideous. One thing I did not particularly approve of was the amount of non-alcoholic wine present, especially when I was in the whole ‘I’M TOTALLY NOT DRUNK GIMME ALCOHOL’ phase of the night, and mistakenly pour that instead of real wine. I then pour myself two glasses of alcoholic red wine, down, and lie on the floor slowly losing consciousness for at least half an hour. Oh and pouring Smirnoff into Smirnoff Ice is just brilliant. And it’s because of these antics that Josh and I have agreed never to attend the same alcoholic parties because I’d make a complete twat of myself by getting royally hammered, which he said would mean he would have to get hammered because he wouldn’t be able to stand the sight of me, thus leading us into some kind of a spiral where we’d probably just have a domestic (something we’ve yet to experience…yay!) and it all be ridiculous.

I like how we plan how to deal with situations before they occur. We’re so logical and organised. *Squee*

Oh and I find this hilarious, my Politics paper got remarked from 67% to 73% which was not epic at all, but considering I need a 70% average this year I now only need the former mark as apposed to the latter mark in my final paper. Except now all the Politics papers have been recalled by the exam board meaning it’s going for a REMARK OF A REMARK which means A THIRD PERSON will have to read my political drivel. I don’t know why I’m complaining I can’t get an A* - I did barely any work for that exam now than I think about it, I really hated the questions, tbh considering I came second in my year in that exam, I should just be thankful. Although, I have come second in Politics every time (ie. all three exams) so I would like to come first at some point :( Still won that feat in Economics in Jan I suppose. Can’t win them all.

Not much else. I’ve given up on this playlist shizzle, I’m sure no-one cares. Listening to a band called Making April and their amazing Grammy covers EP, especially the Paparazzi cover (although they are all really really good, his voice is just eargasmic). Oh, I don’t know.

Spin My Head Right Round When You Go Down

Classy?

Ahoy. A bit later than anticipated but…“Now guess who’s back with a brand new track they got everybody in the club goin’ madddd….”

Life’s been up and down lately, I’m slowly learning than I’m a lot of things that I thought I wasn’t, some good and some bad. In the past fortnight I’ve had one of the worst weeks ever, and it all got let out in the tears… I had about eight different negative events hits me within the space of five days and it was one of those “I feel so low, what’s it gonna take to bring me back up?” Well the answer is always me, and a group of friends who I wouldn’t give up for the world. Oh and I also had a few moments of “WHAT THE FUDGE!?” but I just sit back and laugh at everything now… I’m still not one-hundred percent there but I’m getting better every day. And the amount of “EXPLAIN YOUR TWEETS” texts/IMs I’ve been getting…I really need to stop being so honest, haha.

Recent events have been scarce, two weeks ago it was Georgie’s seventeenth where we went out to a lovely Italian restaurant and I bought her metallic green Skullcandy Lowriders. I remembered she liked my lime green ones, but when hers came they were ONE MILLION TIMES NICER THAN MINE and I was nearly crying with envy. I visited Cambridge University a few days after for the Politics, Psychology and Sociology talks, which blew my mind…I don’t think I could ever set the bar that high for getting in but WOW. And I saw two of my college friends who were there on a summer school, I literally RAN down the street and began dancing like an utter idiot. They screamed in shock.

Oh and the picture above is keeping to my old tradition of alcohol-related posted, whereby I was slightly too intoxicated at my friend’s eighteenth birthday shenanigans. I ended up with so many bruises. And I think the drink count was…two glasses of wine, a double Red Bull and vodka and a pint of pear cider. I really need to man up my liver.

Oh, and college ends at 2.30pm TOMORROW. I’m so excited! I start working full-time on Thursday though, I’m so broke! And I’m due to leave for college in…twenty minutes. But I found my Urban Decay black eyeliner after six months so I’m going to spend far too long in the mirror…adios!

The Bedside Drama, A Petite Tragedy

woooBeeeeeeer (and cider)

Hangovers. The better the night the worse they get. Listen up kids, the only way to prevent a hangover is to drink a lot of juice/water before you collapse. Caffeine and painkillers in the morning will help that “revenge of the vodka” feeling, but you’ll still feel irritable, achy and regretting text messages you made the night before. On the plus side, that mix of Mountain Dew, Coconut Rum and Apple Vodka tasted lovely. Or maybe that was because you managed to paralyse your taste buds with a concoction so vile. And in that dazed phase, you remember recieving a phone call from a past hook-up* with a bottle of vodka in hand, hoping you hadn’t said something dangerously innappropriate. Oh wait, you did. Well, that’s his fault for calling you just when you had forgotten about him, like he had some sort of “Everything’s okay in ____’s life, better call her!” radar…

Anyway, party’s over. First exam is in, three weeks? Oh my shit. The only one I’m confident in getting a much-needed A grade in is Economics. Everything else, Ds across the board! (Probably). So naturally, I’m taking a break from blogging. Twitter’s kinda taken over. It’s disappointing, I like to blog but it’s hard to really take time out when I have deadlines whooshing by. I’ll be back in mid-June when my exams are over. I’ll come back with a bang, I promise ;)

Skip School, Start Fights

Well my week off school is now over, spent earning some dough in my lovely job, drinking cocktails in the town centre and finishing off with an ace party at my best friend’s pad.

Now I’m back at college realising exams are three months away. That’s something like ninety days. And twenty-odd lessons of each subject left. Time really does fly. I’m trying to balance it all with a little research into universities. I’m dead set on going on LSE (London School of Economics and Political Science) to study International Relations. I’m so drawn to it as ut’s one of the most international universities in the world (on average only 25% of the students are UK students) and being well-travelled and mixed-race, I know I’d love to be there.

But oh yeah the 2007 statistics for the course were 1,400 applications which were narrowed down 46 students. My jaw literally dropped straight to the floor. I don’t know how many offers they made, but those are God awful chances. So I probably should be hard studying instead of doing this blog post, but what fun would that be?

I downloaded the recent release of Schoolhouse which is a course assignment/homework manager for Mac. It has a nice clean interface, easy-to-use and it’s sure to help me keep on top of my piles of homework for my AS Levels. Downside is it’s pretty buggy, but definitely an improvement from 2.1 when it didn’t actually work on Leopard OSX! My feature request would be to have some kind of periodical caffeine/nicotine injection to keep the slacking student motivated.
